Our Kindergarten (Kindy) is where children begin their journey of discovery at Floreat Park Primary School. Our approach is child-centred and play-based, where intentional teaching is blended with inquiry-based learning experiences.
Our aim in Kindergarten is to work in partnership with parents so all our students have a firm foundation with which to begin formal schooling in Pre-primary. Our focus is on developing social skills, oral language and fine & gross motor skills.
We are located at 124 Birkdale Street where our students enjoy learning in our modern innovative classroom and playground which includes swings, climbing frames, sandpit and water play.
The Kindergarten operates on a 5 day per fortnight program – three days one week and two days the next. Students therefore might attend every Monday and Tuesday (and alternate Wednesday) or Thursday and Friday (and alternate Wednesday). Each day our sessions run from 8.50 am – 3.00 pm.
Kindergarten is available for children that will be turning four by the 30 June in the year that they commence. Kindergarten Applications 2024 are accepted from the start of the year prior to eligibility, and this year close on Friday 21 July 2023. If your child was born between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020, they are eligible to attend Kindergarten in 2024.

An Application for Enrolment Form can be downloaded HERE. When you submit your application form, please include a copy of your child’s birth certificate, immunisation records (this must be an AIR history statement, not the card provided by the GP), proof of address (this must be a gas or power bill), any visa paperwork and any court orders or other court documents that may be relevant.
Please note, if you are enrolling more than one child, we require an application form to be filled out for each child.
